Development Blog
A new game in development.
It's been quite some time since I've posted or done anything, so this is a quick blog for an update.
I've been through 3 prototypes since releasing Mannequin The Spotting. One being an Strategy game, another being a arcade/fast paced first person shooter, and an RPG. After spending months on each one, I feel I am capable of doing only one of these (whilst others I either didn't find super fun, nor something within my own capabilities currently.) It's been a long process but this current one I am finding is going somewhere and thus I am progressing slowly on it.
It is larger than I anticipated in scope compared to my other three games. So currently I'm not ready to make any proper announcements yet but I'm posting this for anyone who is interested (and myself for the future) that there will be another game coming out in the near future. I'm aiming for an early 2025 release.
I have two other ideas for horror type games again, which I may work on once my current project is near completion, as I enjoy making horror quite a lot. I am moving away from the Mannequin games currently as I have not had the right idea to continue them that hasn't already been done.
Until next time everyone, I will leave one slight clue on the theme of my current game. You're in a position that most people would find you to be very annoying in.
Thanks for reading, keep on gaming!
Andy.

Mannequin The Spotting Out Now!
After a year of development, I have completed Mannequin The Spotting. Not everything is over for it yet, if bugs are reported, if gameplay could be improved than I won't stop working on it, and will do all I can to make it a better game. It's been a fun project to work on and I really hope horror fans get some enjoyment out of it.
The game was originally planned to release 04/08/2023, however due to the amazing game Balder's Gate 3 getting its PC date brought forward, I decided to release my game a week earlier. (Not just for avoiding the same launch day, but to give me time to play Balder's Gate 3 without stressing about Mannequin The Spotting)
So onto the next thing. As previously posted I like to work on multiple games at once, not the best thing to do but it breaks up what I'm doing. I have two in mind right now, both in very early prototyping to check if its fun or something that I can achieve. (I am still a novice at game development and have so much to learn.) I am enjoying the challenge of creating new mechanics for my games.
If all goes to plan, the next two games will be unfamiliar territory for me, one game I have some people assisting with in terms of assets that I don't have the talent for.
For the time being I'm going to slowly develop and give myself a short break, only returning heavily if changes or support needs to be looked at for my current 3 games, Mannequin The Passing, Mannequin The Spotting and Cosmic Ball Tournament.
And as usual, if you made it through this post without getting bored or clicking away, thank you for your time and support.

A new game coming soon.
Another game that I've been working on since 2022 is looking good for a 2023 release. This one has taken me longer to make than Mannequin The Passing, but not as long as Cosmic Ball Tournament.
I usually try to make two games at once side by side (as I have a terrible attention span and need to mix up everything I do), but this one has been developed solely on its own. Upon completion, the next two games are planned, which may end up being a 2024/2025 release for both of them, as these two projects are going to be larger than I have made.
I am finding it extremely difficult to balance game dev time, full time work and all else, so the next games may definitely take a bit more time.
If you've made it this far into my ramblings, thank you. I am looking forward to announcing the next title soon.
Andy.

First blog post (although late)
Well now, it's been a long time coming but I've thought might be a good idea to write about the year I've had releasing my first game. My name is Andy and I'm a one-man game dev who makes games as a hobby. There have been so many prototypes I have made throughout the years but I've only ever been able to complete and release one game (nearly two).
Mannequin The Passing was an idea I had a very long time ago, coming up with the idea whilst walking through a city and seeing a human statue performer. I mentioned to my friend wouldn't it be scary if there was a long pathway filled with these guys and one of them will jump out and grab you if you get within reach. I've had this idea with me for nearly ten years before I thought of making it into a game. I went with Mannequins as that made a bit more sense. The game has nearly been out a year and although it hasn't sold much I am very humbled with how the community has reacted to it.
Now onto my next game, Cosmic Ball Tournament. This game has been in development longer than Mannequin The Passing and as I type this is still currently in development, albeit very close to being complete. I made this game with the inspiration of watching people play games very fast and skilfully (speedrunners). I wanted to make something you can play in quick bursts and feel very good about yourself upon winning. After playtesting it for what feels like forever I think it's a level that achieves this. I'm hoping to have the game out early 2023.
If you found this website and found this blog. thank you for reading. I know it's not much and I might not post regular updates at this time but thought I would write out a starter about my games.
